Is there any way to auto adjust workdays, based on:
- Seasonal time changes (daylight Savings Time)
- Sunrise/Sunset
Almost all of us shift our schedules for daylight savings time, but many of us:
- Don't change our "real" schedules based on those changes (eg we don't shift our relative start times to an hour earlier in the spring, and an hour later in the fall, we simply start work an hour earlier when the clocks move ahead, and go to bed earlier too.
- Others (eg dairy farmers) simply exist under a sunrise schedule shifting with the sun, rather than man's clock (I say "man's" only because certainly a man created the concept that we needed a clock that was based onion and midnight, rather than sunrise and sunset everyday, and then had to create time zones.
- Some siestas are longer in summer and shorter in winter.
- And many also naturally have longer awake times in summer, and shorter in winter, making our work days adjust accordingly.
While I wouldn't expect Merlin to accommodate all these shifts easily, is there anything built in that could relatively easily accommodate any of this? (could we set schedules that shift at different times of the year?)
Very curious about the responses
