Is there a way to have information entries with no dates and not show on the gantt, to use as a task tracker?

Information in attachments cannot be nested or organised in categories from what I see.

Also, is there a way to have the last comment show in a column on the outline list?

First of all, sorry for my late reply. I simply overlooked the new messages… including yours.

Now to my answer: yes, yes and again yes 😉

Start Merlin and create a new empty project
Between the outline and the gantt area is a splitter (divider); drag this with your mouse all the way to the right. Your gantt chart is gone.
Now you could add a new existing column (using the Insert menu) "Complete". Then right click on the column name and select Format > Checkmark. Now you could drag the column to the left (2nd position).
Now add another column "Comments" and in the context menu for that column you can set the Format to "Oldest comment".

The only this which is not possible right away, is nesting attachments. But just tell me what you want to do. Maybe there is another way.

I was using the outline as a task tracker, nesting tasks under categories, but they show on the gantt view of my programme. Can the dates be removed?

I have today been trialling managing tasks in Issues (attachments), I can group by category and use statuses, as well as showing in reports. This seemed to work alongside issues/rfis/change requests/decisions, all separated by type. (Any negatives to this?)

Lastly, I have my procurement schedule in the outline, is there a way to link a procurement date to show a gantt task install date- like a look up field, or would this be done by linking them as a predecessor?
